Haneda Airport to Tokyo: transport options
Compare the whole trip to your accommodation: tickets or vehicle fare, baggage handling, connections and the final leg.
By HAFI Transfer · Sources checked . Published by a private-transfer provider; public transport may suit your journey better.
Start with your hotel and arrival plan
For light bags and a hotel near a useful station, compare Keikyu and the Tokyo Monorail first. A direct airport bus can be easier for a served hotel or Disney destination. Compare an airport taxi or a pre-booked transfer when avoiding changes matters enough to justify a whole-vehicle fare.
Compare the complete journey
Public tickets are per passenger; a car fare is per vehicle. Compare the same direction and destination, including every onward leg. These are dated references, not live quotes or seat availability.
Keikyu train
- Cost and unit
- Adult fare per passenger, one way, to your selected station; paper-ticket and IC fares can differ. Use Keikyu’s current fare search, including onward lines. A Shinagawa fare does not include every Tokyo hotel connection.
- Time and what it covers
- Keikyu publishes 11 minutes from Terminal 3 to Shinagawa and 14 minutes from Terminal 1·2 to Shinagawa. These are rail reference segments, excluding arrival formalities and your hotel leg.
- Changes and the final leg
- Some destinations use through trains on the Toei Asakusa Line; other journeys change at Shinagawa or elsewhere. Check the train’s destination before boarding.
- Luggage
- Carry your bags through the station and any changes; compare the route to the correct hotel exit.
- A good fit for
- Light luggage and a hotel near a convenient Keikyu, Toei or connecting JR station.
- Before choosing
- Check the complete journey after you expect to clear immigration and collect bags, including the last onward train.
Tokyo Monorail
- Cost and unit
- ¥520 regular adult single ticket from any Haneda terminal station to Hamamatsucho. The separate onward JR or subway journey costs extra; IC fares differ.
- Time and what it covers
- Use the service-specific timetable from your terminal to Hamamatsucho. Express and local stopping patterns differ; add the connection, station walking and hotel leg.
- Changes and the final leg
- Hamamatsucho is the city terminus, not Tokyo Station. Most central hotel journeys need an onward connection.
- Luggage
- You handle the bags, elevators and transfer to the next line. Check the whole station route with a stroller.
- A good fit for
- A useful Hamamatsucho destination or an easy onward JR connection.
- Before choosing
- A monorail-only ticket does not cover the rest of the hotel journey. Check the travel-date last connection.
Airport bus
- Cost and unit
- Per passenger, one way, priced by destination. The published Haneda–Disney route is ¥1,300 adult / ¥650 child; check the exact served stop. Central Tokyo hotel routes have separate fares.
- Time and what it covers
- Use the timetable for your terminal and actual hotel or resort stop, then add the final walk. The schedule is a road reference and can be delayed by traffic.
- Changes and the final leg
- A served hotel can avoid a rail change. Confirm that your departure actually stops there; an area name alone is insufficient.
- Luggage
- Operator trunk limits apply. Check acceptance of your suitcase, folded stroller and any oversized items before choosing a bus.
- A good fit for
- A direct hotel or resort stop with departures that suit your arrival.
- Before choosing
- Seats and the last useful departure must be checked. Do not substitute a Tokyo Station fare or timetable for a Disney hotel trip.
Airport taxi
- Cost and unit
- Whole-vehicle metered fare or an eligible fixed-fare zone. Airport guidance says tolls are additional to flat rates; confirm night charges and the complete fare with the operator.
- Time and what it covers
- Ask for a road estimate to your actual hotel and allow for queues and traffic. Airport taxi availability does not guarantee an immediate departure.
- Changes and the final leg
- Use the official taxi stand for your terminal. Reserved or app-dispatched taxis may use a different pickup area.
- Luggage
- Confirm space before boarding. A suitable larger taxi or multiple cars may be needed; child-seat availability cannot be assumed.
- A good fit for
- An on-arrival car option when public transport no longer fits and a suitable taxi is available.
- Before choosing
- A taxi stand differs from a pre-booked meet-and-greet. Confirm the destination, vehicle and fare basis before leaving.
Pre-booked private transfer
- Cost and unit
- HAFI Haneda ↔ Tokyo 23 wards or Disney area: Alphard ¥10,000; HiAce ¥15,000. Base per vehicle, one way; applicable extras and vehicle quantity change the total.
- Time and what it covers
- Request a planning estimate for your exact hotel, pickup time and travel date. Allow for meeting, loading and traffic; the base fare is not an arrival-time guarantee.
- Changes and the final leg
- Advance airport meeting and travel to the confirmed address and accessible stopping point, without a public-transport change.
- Luggage
- Confirm all passengers, suitcase sizes, stroller and child-seat installation together before booking.
- A good fit for
- An awkward final connection, bulky luggage or a preference for advance pickup arrangements.
- Before choosing
- Japan time: before 17:00, the earliest online booking is for tomorrow; from 17:00, it is for the day after tomorrow. Same-day online bookings are unavailable. See HAFI fares and booking conditions below.
Which option fits your trip?
01 · Compare rail first
Light luggage and a station-side hotel
Use Keikyu if its through route or Shinagawa connection suits the hotel; use the Monorail if Hamamatsucho or its JR connection works better. Compare the final exit and walk, not just the first train’s time.
02 · Check a direct hotel bus before a car
Family with bags and a stroller
A useful direct stop can reduce bag handling without a whole-car fare. If no convenient stop exists and station changes are difficult, compare a suitable taxi or pre-booked transfer with child-seat arrangements confirmed.
03 · Compare the complete group journey
Several people travelling together
Add each person’s actual tickets and final connection, then compare a suitable vehicle’s total. Do not choose a car from headcount alone: suitcase sizes, stroller and seats affect the arrangement.
04 · Search after realistic terminal exit time
Evening or late arrival
A flight’s landing time is not your train departure time. Check every onward connection for the date and terminal after immigration and bag collection. If none works, investigate an airport taxi or an overnight stay; HAFI must be arranged in advance and adds its published night charge.
05 · Compare the exact direct resort bus
A Disney hotel destination
Keikyu Bus publishes a ¥1,300 adult single fare on the Haneda–Disney route. Check that your hotel or a useful park stop is served at your arrival time and how to reach reception. Rail via Tokyo needs its own complete Maihama / resort connection and fare.
From the arrival stop to your hotel
Use the hotel’s actual entrance and station exit when comparing routes. Shinjuku’s east and west sides, Shibuya’s hotel approaches and Tokyo Station’s Marunouchi and Yaesu sides can mean different final walks. A fast airport train segment does not include immigration, platform walking, transfers or the route from the station to reception.
Plan your airport return
Check the terminal on your departing flight, then work backwards from airline check-in and bag-drop deadlines. Add the hotel-to-station or meeting-point journey and road or rail disruption margin. For a car, select Airport Drop-off and your hotel pickup time; the complimentary waiting period is not extra travel time to the airport.

Check the details that affect your pickup, payment and cancellation.
Airport waiting: 90 minutes for pickup, 30 for drop-off
For airport pickup, 90 complimentary minutes start from the later of the booked pickup time or actual flight arrival. Flight delays do not reduce this period. For airport drop-off, 30 complimentary minutes start from the scheduled pickup time.
For airport transfers, waiting beyond the complimentary period costs JPY 2,000 per 30 minutes.
Payment is required to confirm your reservation
Submit a booking request, then pay securely through Square before the displayed deadline. Your reservation is confirmed only after payment is received and verified.

A few more planning questions
Which is better: Keikyu or the Monorail?
Start with the hotel’s nearest useful station. Keikyu serves Shinagawa and through routes toward the Toei Asakusa Line; the Monorail ends at Hamamatsucho. Include any change and the final walk when deciding.
Does a late flight rule out public transport?
No. Check the travel-date timetable after the time you expect to leave arrivals, including the final connecting line. A usable late service depends on the terminal and destination, rather than a universal airport cutoff.
Can I book HAFI after landing for tonight?
Japan time: before 17:00, the earliest online booking is for tomorrow; from 17:00, it is for the day after tomorrow. Same-day online bookings are unavailable.
